Studio A upgrades :
SSL A/D
We've made a quantum leap with our Analogue to Digital conversion by ditching our 003 rack for the SSL alpha link Madi interface. This will give us a maximum of 48 channels in and out simultaneously at incredible quality.
CLM DB8000
If you've recorded with us you'll know part of our tone comes from our delicious sounding CLM DB8000 preamps that do the grunt work of our Preamp duties. It's like angels licking your audio as it comes in, then filling it with power. (ok, it's nothing like that, just a really good preamp) We used to have 8 channels, now we have 16!
Avalon 737 SP x 2
For valvey beautiful preamping we're currently looking after a set of Avalons which are great on Bass, Vocals and anything that needs warmth in spades!
LA audio 610
For gritty tube quality you can depend on the classic sound of the 610. A serious Studio staple!
In Construction
We're currently overhauling all the cabling here so that we can record up to the 48 channels the SSL can handle. It will also give us the ability to P.A.A (Patch anything anywhere) which will mean dry hirers will find the setup a doddle and external producers will find patching their own equipment in a dream!
SSL Bus Compressor - We've also commissioned an SSL buss compressor clone! looking forward to trying it out, plus some new preamps from Five fish Audio
Analogue mixing heaven
Not to be outdone, Studio B has installed a 32 channel analogue desk. Plus some tasty mastering compression and EQ. This will take your tracks to a whole new level. The perfectly treated acoustic environment will allow you to hear your tracks in all their glory.
Lynx Aurora 16
We've upgraded the A/D in here too, courtesy of the lynx aurora. This is a high end A/D solution that will not let your music down.
General Upgrades
We've been working hard to make the studio feel like a place you will feel comfortable. We've overhauled the entrance way and redecorated parts of the studio. We'd love to welcome you up to take a look!
